I grew up in Southeastern Connecticut amongst a diverse group of friends and family. I experienced a comfortable mundane life early on, but when I ultimately felt unsatisfied, I took a leap of faith into the search for something beyond. This led me to discover the Buddha’s teaching, and it ignited a strong desire for self-realization. On December 17th, 2016, I had my first real awakening. Since then, I’ve experienced a deepening of this awakening and developed a strong foundation in the practice of loving-kindness. It’s also helped me reconnect with my Christian upbringing.
My focus in teaching is to help you awaken to this same truth, through the practice of insight meditation and to integrate these realizations in your daily life through the practice of loving-kindness meditation. I truly believe that awakening is possible for anyone and everyone in this very life and that it’s the greatest gift you can give yourself and others. My teaching is completely free of dogma or blind belief. I deal with only what you can experience here and now. Theory and intellectual understanding are important to some degree but reading 100 books on meditation doesn’t even compare to a single moment of meditation. My goal as a teacher is to inspire you to give meditation a sincere effort and to enjoy the process of purification. May you all be successful on the path of complete surrender.
When I’m not teaching or on retreat, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, golfing, or whatever emptiness might bring!
